Quick Tip: Make your own Sensitive skin facial exfoliate and Lip scrub

Let me just start off by saying in the winter months ahead, most peoples skin does tend to dry out and carry more dead skin than usual.
So I decided to give you my personal remedy that I make at home for you to try
This is for sensitive skin and is much lighter formulated than most exfoliates and safer without any additives

What you will need:
  • Natural Sugar (Not processed or granulated) You can find this in most health food stores
  • Lemongrass Extract (Meaning the fluid of the herb) Also at health food stores
  • Chamomile Extract
  • Lavender Extract
  • Coconut Oil
Now this specific recipe will last you for a while if you jar it correctly. You can buy small mason jars at your local Walmart or stores similar

Mind you, I prefer to use all organic materials and the Coconut oil you can get at Walmart called "Organix"

In a small bowl mix half a cup of sugar
Add 3 teaspoons of heated coconut oil (25 seconds in the microwave)
Add 1 teaspoon of lavender extract
Add 2 Teaspoons of Chamomile extract
Add 3 teaspoons of Lemongrass extract

Blend vigorously to mix ingredients well

If you have oily skin eliminate the Coconut oil and use Dried Orange peel ground up
It eliminates the oil by absorption

Add your mixture to a mason jar to save and store in a cool dry place

To use, swab a quarter sized amount onto your finger and rub gently but firm into your skin in clockwise motions to allow the dead skin to come off and new cells to rise.
Rinse with cool water and pat dry with a towel

Lip Scrub:

In a small container or bowl mix 2 Tablespoons of sugar
Add 1 tablespoon of heated coconut oil
Add 1 teaspoon of Peppermint oil/extract
mix well and apply to lips
to achieve a deep scrub to remove flakes, use a toothbrush is circular motion for 1 minute then rinse with warm water.
Add a lip balm afterwards.
This also helps plump lips especially with the peppermint

Hope you all enjoy this at home treat for skin and lips
More to come soon

XoXo
Ash
